As of January 1, 2012, a new energy-efficiency standard for pool pumps goes into effect.  If after January 1, 2012, a 1 horsepower or greater pool pump fails, the purchasing option will be limited to two-speed and variable-speed pumps.

Current pool owners with a working, single-speed pool pump will not be affected, the law only applies to the sale and installation of new residential online casino spielautomaten pool pumps and pool pump motors.
